At just 18 years old Sharon decided to try some cigarettes a few weeks ago and is now becoming addicted to smoking. In this scene Sharon smokes for us and absolutely loves it! She’s still conflicted about becoming a fully addicted full-time smoker but as is demonstrated in this clip it’s pretty obvious she’s already well on her way.
Her inhales are quite deep for a newbie and she often alludes to the fact that she loves the feeling that cigarettes offer her.
Unfortunately I lost the audio in one scene due to an unrecognised technical fault, however, where we do have dialogue you’ll understand why I believe Sharon is destined to become a dependent smoker. She tells me that it looks sexy when girls smoke cigarettes and explains that she adores the relaxing feeling in her body as she fills up her lungs with smoke.
She identifies that smoking can be harmful and thus includes some anti-smoking comments regarding the price of cigarettes for example. But I think the viewer will agree that she’s becoming rapidly reliant on smoking. She has a real obsession with the cigarette – staring at it as she exhales and contemplates her next drag – and enjoying filling her virgin lungs with delightful smoke.
